Energy Audit & Efficiency Consulting

ASHRAE-aligned, independent energy assessments for commercial and industrial facilities. We find exactly where your naira are being wasted. We show you how to get them back.

Why It Matters

Nigeria's Commercial Energy Crisis Is Getting Worse

Diesel prices, grid unreliability, and ageing equipment are combining to push energy costs to unsustainable levels. An energy audit is how you take back control.

Our Approach

ASHRAE-Aligned Audit Methodology

Our energy audits follow ASHRAE Standard 211: the globally recognised framework for commercial building energy assessments. This means rigorous data collection, systematic analysis, and recommendations you can trust.

We combine engineering expertise with professional measurement tools: power analysers, data loggers, thermal imaging, and 48โ€“72 hour continuous load monitoring. The result is a report that tells you exactly what is happening in your facility. Not a best-guess estimate.

What ASHRAE Level 1 & 2 Means

Level 1 (Walk-through): A systematic visual inspection combined with utility bill analysis and basic measurements. Identifies major energy waste areas and quick wins. Ideal as a first step.

Level 2 (Energy Survey & Analysis): Detailed measurements and analysis of all energy-using systems. Multi-day continuous monitoring. Full report with capital and operational ECMs (Energy Conservation Measures), each with savings, cost, and payback period.

What to Expect

Our 6-Step Audit Process

1

Free Consultation

A 30-minute call to understand your facility, energy challenges, and goals. We'll tell you honestly whether an audit will deliver meaningful value for your specific situation.

2

Proposal & Agreement

We send a detailed proposal with scope, timeline, and fixed fee. Once agreed, we schedule the site visit and request utility bills and equipment data in advance.

3

Site Assessment

Our team arrives on site with professional equipment. We conduct a systematic walk-through, install monitoring equipment, interview facility staff, and gather measurements across all major energy systems.

4

Data Analysis

We analyse all collected data: load profiles, power quality readings, utility bills, and equipment efficiencies. We calculate the energy and cost impact of each identified opportunity.

5

Report & Presentation

You receive a clear, professionally formatted report with prioritised recommendations, naira savings per recommendation, implementation costs, and payback periods. We present findings to your management team.

6

Implementation Support

You choose what to implement and when. We can manage the implementation, or you use your own contractors. We remain available to answer questions and verify results.

Frequently Asked Questions

An energy audit is a systematic assessment of how energy is used in your facility. A professional energy auditor uses measurement equipment and data analysis to identify exactly where energy is being wasted and quantify the financial impact of corrective actions. The output is a prioritised list of recommendations, each with projected savings, implementation cost, and payback period.

The site visit for a Power Diagnostic takes 1โ€“2 days. A Comprehensive Energy Audit requires 2โ€“3 days on site, plus we leave data logging equipment running for 48โ€“72 hours for continuous load monitoring. The analysis and report preparation takes a further 7โ€“14 days depending on complexity. The total engagement is typically 2โ€“4 weeks from kick-off to final report delivery.

Minimal disruption. We schedule our site work to fit around your operations. We can work evenings, weekends, or in sections to avoid interrupting business. The monitoring equipment we install is non-invasive and does not affect your electrical systems. We'll agree a site access plan with your facility team before we start.

We use professional-grade equipment including 3-phase power quality analysers, data loggers (current, voltage, power factor, kWh), thermal imaging cameras, lux meters for lighting analysis, and clamp meters. All equipment is calibrated and capable of producing data suitable for formal audit documentation.

This varies by facility, but we typically identify 15โ€“25% reduction in energy spend. For a facility spending โ‚ฆ20 million/year on energy, that is โ‚ฆ3โ€“5 million in annual savings. Many of the quick-win recommendations (power factor correction, lighting upgrades, behavioural changes) pay back within 6โ€“18 months. The audit fee itself is typically recovered within the first month of implementing recommendations.

No. We serve clients across all of Nigeria. We have worked in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, Enugu, Ibadan, and other cities. Travel and accommodation costs for out-of-Lagos engagements are included in our proposal and agreed upfront.

Our lead engineer holds a BEng in Electrical Engineering and is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). Dreamit Technology Ltd is incorporated under the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC RC: 6902826). We carry professional indemnity insurance and follow ASHRAE Standard 211 methodology for commercial energy audits.

Yes. All audit reports are strictly confidential. We do not share client data, findings, or facility information with any third party. Our engagement agreement includes a confidentiality clause.
